Discovery

Discovery is the first and most important step in my process. This is the time to understand the needs of the client, the needs of the potential users and any factors effecting the delivery of the project.

During Discovery, the following deliverables are to be explored:

• Project Proposal and Information Architecture Strategy
• Personas
• Use Cases and Scenarios
• Site Map
• Work flow diagrams
• Requirements Documentation
• Sample Wire frames

Production

Once my client is accepting of the deliverables and direction put forth in the Discovery phase, the production phase begins. The goal of production is to provide the end to end design for the information architecture of the project.

During Production, the following deliverables are to be explored:

• Wire frames
• Prototypes for usability testing
• Accessibility Strategy
• Scripted demo
• Template designs

Documentation

Documentation is a skillset and passion that I hold dear. Good documentation can make a project and bad documentation can mean alot of very angry overworked developers with alot of throw-away code. While this is an optional step in the process, it is reccomended for all projects (big or small.)

During Documentation, the following deliverables are to be explored:

• Technical Specification
• Error Matrix
• Accessibility Documentation
• Developer Knowledge Transfer sessions
• Q/A Support during development
• Content Migration Strategy
• Style Guide
